When you are finished with the day,
And the moon sometimes appears
outside your windows,
and there is nothing else left
to accomplish;
Before you make plans for tomorrow
(imagining what’s possible),
while connecting all the lines
between the points in your life —
Days to years, all the same (eternally
so) – as you pause between breaths,
in the place where words
and images and graceful moves
slip from sight,
There comes a certain quiet interval,
which grants you time to remember,
while letting go
of wanting more;
Then: In that very moment, you hear
a kind, clear voice telling you
that you do not need to start again.
But then — you do.
From the Editor
In a different way – very much less lyrical and reflective than Molly’s poetry – WINN has been “betweentimes”.
It was first published in 2016 and then, some time in 2025, publishing paused. I thought it was actually going to be an ending but recently have learned that there is more ahead – more authors, more ideas, more posts.
WINN will appear twice a month on Substack beginning in September.
